CARPOLY WATER-BASED PRIMER FOR WOOD (WHITE / CLEAR)

Applications:

Water‑based primer for timber, MDF, veneer, bamboo, and door frames. Ideal before topcoats on interior woodwork—furniture, cabinetry, and joinery.

Features:

• Anti‑grain raising – prevents wood fibres from lifting; leaves a smooth surface.
• Fast drying – touch dry in <30 minutes; recoat or sand in 2 hours.
• Easy sanding – sands smoothly without clogging paper.
• Good filling – seals pores and fine grain for a uniform base.
• Water‑based – low odour, easy clean‑up.
• Two options – White for opacity; Clear for natural wood finish.

Size:

10kg – for timber projects of all sizes.

Coverage:

Approx. 8.3–10m²/kg per coat. 1-2 coats typical.

Usage:

· Surface clean, dry, sanded. Remove dust.
· Stir well. Thin with water up to 20% if needed. In cold weather, add 5–10% water to prevent sagging.
· Apply one to two coats by brush, roller, or spray. Allow 2 hours between coats.
· Lightly sand before topcoating for best results.
· Topcoat with CARPOLY wood enamel or clear finish.

Notes:

· Primer only – do not use as topcoat.
· White primer provides excellent coverage; clear primer preserves natural wood grain.
